We build, secure and run the systems your business depends on.

ACME IT Solutions is a Sydney consulting and engineering firm of about 38 people. We take organisations from cloud strategy through migration and assurance, then stay on the hook once it is live — under a service level, not a promise.

What we do

Four capability areas, one accountable team

Most firms our size sell one of these and subcontract the rest. We run all four in-house, which is the only way the advice, the build and the support can agree with each other.

How we work

Five steps, and you can stop after any of them

Every engagement runs the same spine. The point of the early steps is that they are cheap enough to walk away from — if discovery says the business case is not there, we would rather tell you at step two than bill you through step four.

How we price this
  1. Discovery

A fixed-price fortnight. We map what you actually run, talk to the people who use it, and write down the constraints nobody documented.

  2. Options and business case

Two or three routes with real numbers against each, including the cost of doing nothing. You own the recommendation, not us.

  3. Build and migrate

Delivered in slices with a demonstrable outcome at the end of each. Fixed price where the scope holds still, time and materials where it genuinely cannot.

  4. Cutover and assurance

Testing, rollback plans, and an independent check that what was designed is what got built. Hypercare for the first month.

  5. Run

Into managed services under a published SLA, or handed to your team with the documentation to actually operate it. Both are fine outcomes.

Managed services

Support that draws down a bank of hours, not a mystery invoice

Buy a block of hours up front at a discount to our standard rate. Incidents, small changes and advice all draw from the same bank, and the balance carries month to month. Work out what a block would cost you before you talk to anyone.

What clients say

Plain accounts of the work

Invented, like everything else on this demonstration site — but written the way real reference calls actually sound, which is mostly about whether people turned up and told the truth.

They told us the migration would slip two weeks before it slipped. That sounds small. It is the entire difference between a partner and a supplier.

The Essential Eight assessment came back worse than we hoped and they did not soften it. The roadmap that followed was the first one our board actually funded.

We came for a network refresh and stayed on a retainer. The hour bank means my team stops rationing whether a question is worth raising a ticket for.

A first conversation costs you an hour

Tell us what is not working. If we are the wrong firm for it we will say so, and usually we can point you at who is not. If we are the right firm, the next step is a fixed-price discovery, not a proposal full of assumptions.
